The main purpose of these pages is to introduce ourselves to families who might be interested in a holiday in Denmark.
At the moment we are open for exchange periods.
We are:
Mogens Skov (69) & Tina Nielsen (65), both retired librarians.
Esbjerg is the 5th largest city in Denmark (80.000 inhabitants) and situated at the west coast of Jutland in the Waddensea National Park.
Esbjerg has 2 times been selected as "City of the Year" in Denmark.
In Esbjerg you will find shopping centres, pedestrian streets, swimming center (with 50 m pool, spa, waves, waterchute etc.), a large harbour and museums - including aquarium with saltwater fish and seals.
Within cycling distance you can take a dip at the beach in Sædding and 30-60 km away you can reach Ribe (oldest town in Denmark), Legoland and the wide sandy beaches of the North Sea.
From the harbour you can take the ferry (12 min.) to the picturesque island of Fanø, with it's historical and charming houses and beautiful beaches.
And with the bridge/tunnel across Store Baelt you can reach Copenhagen in 3 hours.
We live on a
quiet road with no passing traffic in the eastern Esbjerg within walking or cycling distance to rail station and city centre.
